Beech Syde is a peaceful, comfortable and attractively furnished detached bungalow for up to 4 people (self-catering). There is guest-controlled central heating, making Beech Syde ideal for all year round use. Short breaks are available at certain times of the year. It is an ideal base for a coastal holiday.
On your arrival pull in onto the drive. You will see that the front garden is full of mature shrubs and plants enclosed by a beech hedge (this gives great privacy to the front bedrooms).
The back garden is very pretty, enclosed and private. It has
a lawn which is bordered by attractive beds full of varied shrubs,
trees and plants – a most pleasant place to be as it faces
south and is a sheltered sanctuary. When the weather is kind
you can enjoy your meals in the garden as table and chairs are provided. A
small pond (especially beautiful when the purple irises within it
are flowering in May / June) is enclosed by a low fence. Please
be aware of the pond if children are visiting the bungalow.
The lounge has two very comfortable settees, which are arranged around the fireplace as a central point. Whilst sitting in the settees guests can also enjoy the view of the attractive back garden through a large picture window. There is an LCD digital television and DVD player for your entertainment. A conservatory from the lounge leads into the back garden.
The dining area of the living area faces the back garden, the view of which can be enjoyed whilst dining.
The kitchen is adjacent to the dining area and whilst compact, offers an electric cooker, a fridge, a microwave and a washing machine.
Thank you for letting us use your holiday home. It was a very nice break and the weather was much better than we normally get! It certainly is a lovely spot and very homely and comfortable. We will be returning at some stage in the future, hopefully not too long. D R……. & C S… …….May 2009
There is a double bedroom (4ft 6” bed) which is also furnished with a dressing table and stool, a double wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
The twin bedroom (two 3’ beds) has a fitted cupboard and a chest of drawers. The door to this bedroom is from the entrance hall.
Both the bedrooms face the attractive front garden. Modern beds with sprung mattresses are made up with duvets and modern co-ordinated duvet covers according to your needs as specified on your booking form. There are extra blankets for chilly winter nights. Linen, towels and electricity are all included in the rental.
The bathroom has a bath and shower over; wash basin and loo.
Your bungalow proved to be a delightful, convenient and warm base from which to go birding. This splendid Norfolk coast for us, 110 species of birds and 9 mammals was excellent. We even added The Cranes at Horsey to our British list. P & D W…… February 2009
